Firebird Energy was born out of Kiwi policeman Shaun Winstanley’s journey of adversity and resilience. After being shot in the face during a major incident, his recovery left him unable to consume solid food or hot liquids.

Seeking nourishment, he created a protein-infused energy drink combining coffee with both whey and casein protein.

What began as a personal solution quickly grew into the thriving brand you see before you today. Named Firebird Energy to reflect the phoenix rising from the ashes, Shaun is sharing his protein coffee with the world, to empower others to rise up and overcome their challenges.

We source locally roasted coffee from a sustainability-focused partner based right here in New Zealand. This lets us pack in  150mg of real, organic caffeine, rather than the synthetic stuff made in a lab.

Each can of Firebird Energy Protein Coffee delivers a punchy 16g of protein. 20% of this is whey protein, a common type that your body can absorb rapidly  (approximately 10g per hour).

The remainder is composed of casein protein, which has a much slower absorption rate and provides the long-lasting energy you need to keep going throughout the day.
